A wishlist of sorts

Lately, the urge for me to write something, anything, has been virtually non-existent. There are tons of topics that I can write about, but none of them seem interesting enough for me. New gadgets? Why bother? There's Gizmodo and Engadget, to start with. Weird news? Fark and Boing Boing comes to mind. Silicon Valley news ain't so great either. And TechCrunch and GigaOm has it covered. Basically, I'm on "read-only" mode, obsessing on scans of comic books I wasn't able to read before because I can't afford to collect them, except for those that I consider most awesome. Graphic novels are mostly the extent of my comic book collection. Also, this might be caused by Heroes' third season that began recently. And I'm sure a number of blogs are covering it. The fact of the matter is, I think I'm having some sort of writer's block, if one can consider me a writer. Although I have been writing my reviews and personal opinions about WordPress 2.7-hemorrhage, I can't help but feel some sort of inadequacy. It's been a long time since I wrote something substantial but not technology-related, if there ever was a time. A spirit walk is most likely appropriate at the moment, but I'm admittedly lazy. Nothing quite piques my interest right now. Unless, maybe, if, or when, I get a new gadget, I might have the urge to write about it. Wendy, my MSI Wind U100 netbook comes to mind. I rarely use Wendy, for I'm almost always at home, and Dek, my desktop PC, is adequate for all my tasks, recreational or otherwise. It was only recently that I appreciated its portability. I missed surfing the net from my bed, and I realized how enjoyable it was when I decided to do that again. However, after an hour or so, my back started aching from being hunched over Wendy resting on my crossed legs. My back and my nape ached, and my legs fell asleep after I stretched. Yea, good times. And because of this, I decided to make a list, yet again, of what I need so I don't suffer as much when working at home or watching downloaded episodes of The Big Bang Theory, 30 ROCK, Heroes, etc. That is, if and when I get the money. First, I'll get someone to make me a proper computer table, specifically tailored to my needs. The design should be ergonomic enough with the same concept as that of the table, "OneLessDesk" by Heckler Design, and with adequate space for two monitors, a big-ass keyboard and adjacent mouse, and a number of gadgets. I want it big enough so Dek and Wendy can play together. I'll probably base the design from OneLessDesk, but with my modifications. And it's going to be made of wood. I'm cheap. I surely can't risk developing CTS when my hands are the most precious of the tools I use to earn enough money to pay the bills. Tactile feedback on a touch-screen interface? Where do I get one? [caption id="attachment_614" align="aligncenter" width="230" caption="Communicator"]

Problem is, I don't have any so-called "free" time anymore to literally take a hike. But still, I need new shoes. [caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="260" caption="A pair of kick-ass boots"]
