It’s Pacman in 8 Rounds by KO!
Yes. He won. Not because he wanted to, but he needed to. As a lot of people already know, the Pacman is running for Congress in his hometown in Gensan.
Well, let's just think about it for a while. Yes, I know some of you are simply sick and tired of reading a lot of blogs and sites delivering the news that he won and how great a boxer he is. Just humor me for just one second.
So why would he need to win? Well, if you think about it, in which we are already doing, or at least I am, if he lost the fight, would he lose his bid for Congress? Definitely. He would be letting down a lot of people if he lost. A lot of people would lose confidence in the "great" boxer. Although they'd still be shouting, "We will regain the title!" it would still be what's inside that counts. Can anyone tell me honestly that if Pacquiao lost, would they still support his Congressional bid because they still have faith in him? Of course people would still have faith in him. BUT not as much when he was winning.
So in the end, Pacquiao, even if he doesn't want to win, needs to win, because he said he wants to serve his people. And Filipinos are well known for the "let's wait and see" attitude, then run the person over with hails of rocks because he falls short of what the people expect.
Whatever.
