Plugin Update
And I thought I was finished with my plugins. I now realize that as long as WordPress keeps evolving, my plugins need to do the same too.
However, the update to my plugins Technorati Tags and Technorati Tag Cloud, both for WordPress 2.3+ are not related to WordPress evolving once again. These updates are more related to me being a noob and not realizing that although tag search results may seem to be similar, it is, in fact, VERY different from each other.
If you happen to have multiple word tags, and you have them linked to Technorati, you have to use the correct operands. Meaning, when using a hyphen to separate keywords and a trailing slash to search for tags in Technorati, Technorati will search for both keywords and treat it as one, including the trailing slash. Not really accurate. If you searched using a plus sign to separate the keywords, it will search for posts tagged with keyword 1 OR keyword 2.
The result: a more accurate and more relevant search result.
This I realized upon reading a comment by Jake. I used both methods of searching and got similar results, but NOT THE SAME.
Those who are using both my plugins are advised to upgrade to the latest version of both plugins. I hope this is the last update announcement I'll be making for a while. A big THANKS goes to those who downloaded and used my plugin. If you have the time, leave a comment anywhere on this blog. If you haven't noticed the button at the footer, Yes, I follow.
