Trillanes, the Terrible
Not like Ivan. Was it Ivan? Anyway, this "accused" mutineer who led the Magdalo group in storming the Ascott hotel (formerly known as Oakwood) last 2003 has done it again. After a few months of getting elected as a senator, he blames the government for the Glorietta bombing, and now this.
I'm seeing a pattern here.
When he thinks he's getting screwed, he convinces other fellow soldiers that they are being screwed too. Then starts organizing forces to storm a luxurious hotel. And now he does the same thing. AGAIN.
Speculation abound, here's what I think of what was really going on inside the mind, or what's left of it, of Trillanes.
He walked out of a hearing for his case in a Makati regional trial court. Why? He wants everyone to join him in withdrawing support to the President. Like he's organizing a spur-of-the-moment people power. The dumbfuck. And in the background of the news footage, one of the security detail even shouted out to all within earshot with reference to fellow soldiers to join the cause. Later on, the AFP states that all their personnel in the security detail were not compromised and did not switch sides. Yeah right. The AFP further states that they are loyal to the present administration. I guess I can believe that.
Commentators were thinking out loud whether the incident was planned or not. I'm not dumb enough to give Trillanes credit for this appalling display of behavior unexpected of an elected official. This has been planned, and I'm assuming, for months now. No one in their right mind would just simply follow someone in storming another hotel simply because "his words are golden and ring true." If that is the case, then we are all doomed. And The Peninsula Manila is a very strategic target for them to take over, as it is in the busiest intersection of the busiest city of the country. And to maximize their "efficiency" in influencing others, this is where they decide to stage their play. The cunning cunts.
So what happened in the end? Government troops stormed the hotel also, an hour after Trillanes did not comply with the 3PM deadline given by the government soldiers for him to surrender. They were then put in a bus going God knows where. And in a separate bus, media people and nosy civilians were herded off and put in another bus going somewhere else. Maybe to debrief them, or something. Or kill them all off. That's a thought.
The repercussions of the rebels actions have left the government no choice but to impose a curfew from 12 midnight to 5 AM Friday, the 30th of November, and anyone who is not supposed to be out will be detained and will only be released at 5 AM, unless they are under investigation for other offenses.
The curfew forced some of the restaurants operating 24 hours a day to close early so that their employees have ample time to go home before the curfew takes effect. This leaves call center employees to forage for food somewhere else. The question on most call center employees' minds is where to get food. The question on other people's minds is if this is the start of a new dictatorship, the dawn of another government under martial law. At least that's what I am thinking.
To Trillanes and his cohorts, I hope you guys live forever to experience all the torment and despair life can offer. Or you can just go fuck off and die.
