This post might be a little late as the Thing I mention below was publicly released last November 1st. I had to take a very long weekend off, away from technology, or avoid as much of it as I can. It may be late, and no one asked, but I’m still posting what I think about this Thing. Coz Christine said I can.

Unbeknownst to many, I was one of the lucky few to test drive Christine from the Internet’s shiny new Thing before it was publicly released. The recently released UTW Theme Compatibility Thing (UTW-TCT) is now publicly available. Finally. I’ve been itching to write about this Thing since Christine let me play with it. But of course, it has to do what it was supposed to do before the masses sink their teeth into it.

So what does this Thing actually do? Well, as far as I know, it’s a stripped down version of Ultimate Tag Warrior, or at least some Thing that handles displaying tags. If you were using UTW before, and you sorely miss it, then you simply have to download this Thing to get your fix, as it is (almost) the same as UTW.

What was taken out of UTW was the UTW_ShowSomething functions and how it is displayed. It follows the same syntax of UTW. If you noticed, my tag cloud in the front page now sports varying colors, that’s UTW-TCT in action. Of course, it still has some kinks as it is still in beta. But this beta really rocks. Hats off to another great WordPress plugin by Christine.

The only thing missing now is the Hydra to hold all of the heads that is WordPress Things.
